DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1
Dec 26: Arrive El Silencio Lodge, Bajos del Toro
Upon arrival in Sa Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and driven approximately 1 1/2 hours to El Silencio Lodge and Spa for overnight. Situated in the high-elevation cloud forest, El Silencio is a eco-friendly sanctuary focused on wellness and soft adventure. Explore the 500 private acres surrounding the lodge with gently flowing creeks and hidden waterfalls.
Day 2
Dec 27: Horseback Adventure
The picturesque landscapes of Bajos del Toro are best appreciated on horseback. Leisurely discover the mist-covered mountain vists, the slopes of Poas Volcano, and the streams of waterfalls of the countryside. Delight in the possibility of chance encounters with locals as you traverse hidden trails and local farms. Overnight El Silencio Lodge & Spa.
Day 3
Dec 28: Transfer to Hotel Parador, Manuel Antonio
Today you will be met and driven approximately 3 1/2 hours to Hotel Parador overnight outside Manuel Antonio National Park for overnight. This upscale resort is set high up on a forested peninsula with breathtaking views overlooking the coast. The Mediterranean-style architecture modered after traditional Spanish Paradores and European boutique hotels make Hotel Parador one-of-a-kind.
Day 4
Dec 29: Private Manuel Antonio National Park Hike
Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica's favorite little national park with three of the country's most beautiful white sand beaches bordered by thick rainforest and trails overflowing with wildlife. Walk along the trails with a professional naturalist guide observing the wonders of the rainforest and the diversity of wildlife - there are over 109-known mammal species and 184 bird species found within the park. Don't forget to wear your swimsuit and bring a towel for a refreshing swim on the tour! Overnight Hotel Parador.
Day 5
Dec 30: Sunset Catamaran Tour
Nature lovers will love the afternoon catamaran tours for its breathtaking sunset over the Pacific Ocean! Dolphins, humpback whales, other marin life can be seen from the deck of the catamaran! Onboard, enjoy a variety of snacks and drinks while navigating the coast with the tropical breeze and sun. This tour includes snorkeling at one of the picturesque snorkeling locations along the coast. Overnight Hotel Parador.
Day 6
Dec 31: Tocori Farm Visit & Waterfall Hike
The day begins with a drive through the towns of Naranjito and Villa Nueva. Start at the Catholic Church of Villa Nueva where you will discover a traditional Costa Rican ranch. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of chorreado coffee on arrival, along with handmade tortillas with cheese. Your farm adventure will include milking a cow and squeezing your own sugar cane juice! Then, you'll visit Tocori Waterfall. A 20-minute walk through the forest will bring you to the river. Jump in and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool water. Then, return to the farm for a typical Costa Rican lunch before returning to Hotel Parador for overnight.
Day 7
Jan 1: Transfer to Hotel Royal Corin, Arenal Volcano
Today you will be met and driven approximately 5 hours to Hotel Royal Corin in the Arenal Volcano region. Royal Corin is a modern hotel showcasing Arenal Volcano with spectacular views of every room.
Day 8
Jan 2: Pure Nature Safari Float
Leisurely float down the Frio River on a boat with no motors looking for monkeys, turtles, sloths, iguanas, and birds. A profession naturalist will show you the unique treasures and relationships of the river. After your float, have homemade snacks at a family farm and practice your Spanish! Overnight Hotel Royal Corin.
Day 9
Jan 3: Aerial Tram, Zipline, & Walk with Lunch
Your adventure begins with the Sky Walk, the perfect guided tour for nature lovers. Look for a variety of flora and fauna along the 2.25 (3.6 km) trail which typically takes about 3 hours. Discover three waterfalls - one with a 30-meter drop! Take in a bird's eye view of Arenal Volcano, Arenal Lake, and the Tilaran Mountain Range from the Sky Tram. The tram ends where the Sky Trek zip line adventure begins. The Sky Trek is a series of eight cross-section cables with a maximum height of 600 feet. Enjoy a thrill while taking in unique rainforest views. Overnight Hotel Royal Corin.
Day 10
Jan 4: Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
Today you will be met and driven approximately 2 1/2 hours to San Jose international airport for your return flight home.

Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Years, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.

All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
