Upon your morning or afternoon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica you will transfer by ground for approximately 3 hours to the Arenal Volcano area. Although currently, the volcano is in a resting phase, the region still offers an abundance of exciting opportunities.

Arrive at the Arenal Kioro Hotel. Positioned on a hill directly below the volcano, Arenal Kioro Hotel offers breathtaking views of both the valley below and the volcano above.
Day 2
AM Penas Blancas Float Trip // PM Frog Watching Night Tour
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest as you peacefully paddle the Penas Blancas River. Monkeys, crocodiles, sloths, and tropical birds await us. A bilingual guide will share educational explanations of the plants and animals you encounter on the float. Your boat will be run without a motor so as not to scare away wildlife and enjoy the peacefulness of the day.

Discover Arenal's only wild frog sanctuary by night when the colorful tree frogs and other rainforest wildlife are most active and most easily observed. At least 28 frogs have made their homes on the ponds of Arenal Oasis. The Rojas Bonilla family carefully maintains the plants native to Arenal to create a needed frog habitat in the private wildlife reserve of fresh spring water-fed ponds. The night tour then continues past the frog ponds along flat trails immersed in the noisy night rainforest. Overnight Arenal Kioro Hotel.
Day 3
Afternoon Sloth Tour
The goal of this tour? Find as many sloths as possible! Arenal is home to both of Costa Rica's sloth species. A professional naturalist guide will lead you to the region's beautiful wildlife viewing areas. You may also see toucans, red blue jeans poison dar frogs, monkeys, hummingbirds, monkeys, and iguanas along the way! Arenal Kioro Hotel.
