Arenal Hanging Bridges & La Fortuna Waterfall Hike
The Arenal Hanging Bridges Hike bring you through a 1500 acre private nature reserve, where a variety of animals, birds, and vegetation live. The hike includes 8 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges built with the latest techniques. Your professional naturalist guide will point out the unique relationships of this ecosystem, and guide you to a waterfall at the end of the trail. Next, visit La Fortuna Waterfall, a breathtaking cascade surrounded by rainforest. Pacuare River Rafting Expedition: Class III-IV
Today you will transfer to the Rios Tropicales Operations Center for your rafting adventure. You will also have some time to store most of your luggage in the on-site lockers at the Operations Center as you will need to bring a smaller bag for the two nights on the river. Then, depart on a 30 minute transfer and 30 minute tractor trailer ride into the Pacuare River canyon, where guides will help you load your gear into dry bags, giving you complete safety and paddle instructions before you set off! Enjoy the sites, sounds, and thrills of the Pacuare River gorge. Stop off for lunch on a river bank, and take a refreshing dip in a nearby waterfall. Before you know it, you'll be at the award-winning Rios Tropicales Lodge, where the afternoon is dedicated to relaxing, soaking in the waterfalls and pools, or hiking. On a 2,000-acre private reserve, Rios Tropicales Lodge is nestled in the jungle and has basic but comfortable rooms. Electricity is generated by a self-sufficient hydro-plant. Your tropical evening wouldn't be complete without happy hour and a candle-lit dinner.

There are a variety of activities to experience from the lodge including a canopy zipline tour (at an additional cost) and hikes to nearby waterfalls or high up into the Pacuare Reserve. Or relax and enjoy the sound of the thundering river from a hammock. Overnight Rios Tropicales Lodge.
Pacuare River Rafting; Transfer to San Jose, Costa Rica
Breakfast first, and then you're on the river again, paddling down the gorge past waterfalls, pools, and pounding rapids. A snack stop on the shore will let you explore the natural waterslides of the area. Running rapids such as Cimarron and the Upper and Lower Huacas is quite the adrenaline rush for your afternoon! At the river take-out, you'll transfer back to the Operations Center for a hot lunch and to pick up your bags. On the return drive to San José, you'll enjoy remarkable views of Braulio Carrillo National Park and Irazú Volcano.

Transfer to Bocas del Toro Islands, Panama
Today transfer to the San Jose international airport for the flight to Bocas del Toro, Panama. Bocas del Toro is a pristine set of islands in the Caribbean Sea off the Northwestern coast of Panama. Emerald islands, pristine beaches, turquoise waters, extensive coral gardens, mangrove channels and exotic wildlife make this one of Panama’s top tourist attractions. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by boat to Punta Caracol Aqua Lodge for overnight. Transfer to Panama City, Panama
Today you will depart by boat to the local airport in Bocas town for a short flight to Panama City, Panama. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Las Clementinas Hotel. Sitting in the heart of Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Hertiage Site district, Las Clemantinas Hotel is steps from some of the most important historical monuments and best culinary experiences in Panama.
Panama City & Panama Canal Full Day Tour
An English-speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel for a private tour of Panama City and the Miraflores Locks. After a 30 minute drive to the Locks, you'll get to see the ships being lifted and lowered. On a sheltered terrace, your guide will explain. Next up is the Museum and Visitor Center, where you'll get to learn about the construction, impact on world trade, and the current expansion project of the Miraflores Locks. Continue on to the Amador Causeway, a road connecting three islands, with stunning views of the Panama City skyline on one side and the Canal on the other. When you reach Casco Viejo, Panama City's colonial quarter, it'll be like stepping into a time machine. Enjoy the narrow roads, lovely colonial houses, and looming churches.
