Our 9 night Surf Costa Rica vacation is for pros and beginners!  Arrive in Costa Rica’s capital city of San Jose to pick up your rental car before driving to Manuel Antonio to explore the multitude of surfing options there – with something for both the beginner and the expert, the short-boarders and long. 3 days enjoying some of the area’s best surfing, before it’s off to the Nicoya Peninsula to get your fill with another 3 free days to explore several beaches. Your last stop, in Guanacaste, will introduce you to one of the world’s leading hotels in a beachfront paradise!

Day 1
Transfer to Manuel Antonio National Park
Upon your morning or midday arrival into San Jose, Costa Rica, you will pick up your rental vehicle and drive to Manuel Antonio. Arrive at the Hotel Costa Verde for overnight. Costa Verde is the perfect introduction to the beauty of the country. The panoramic Pacific Ocean vistas are clearly visible from Costa Verde's spot on a rainforest bluff, and the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park is perfect for exploring!
Day 2
Manuel Antonio Free Day
The nearby Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica's favorite National Park, and it's little surprise! The park hosts a deceptively large number of wildlife, as well as featuring three of the most beautiful white sand beaches that can be found in the country. A great day can be spent there, with hiking to start before spending some time relaxing in the sun and the sand!
Day 3
Manuel Antonio Free Day
One of the best parts of a visit to Hotel Costa Verde is the sheer abundance of animals you can spot without ever leaving the hotel. With a tagline of "More monkeys than people," visitors will find that the architecture of the hotel has been designed to allow free passage for local animal species. Squirrel, White-faced Capuchin, and Howler monkeys can all be found exploring nearby trees and rooftops!
Day 4
Transfer to Nosara, Nicoya Peninsula
Today, you will drive about 5 hours to the Harmony Hotel. Sitting on a pristine surf break not far from the relaxed village of Playa Guiones, surfers, yoga enthusiasts, and those looking to reconnect with nature rave about Harmony! The lush, sustainable property is a stone's throw from some of the most consistent year-round waves in the midst of low-key glamour.
Day 5
Nicoya Peninsula Free Day
Besides spending days exploring the sun, sand, and surf, guests at Harmony Hotel can also visit the Healing Centre, where both sore surfers and exhausted travelers can find rejuvenating spa services. Or, visit the open-air yoga studio. The surrounding lush forest and the lack of walls make this as much a meditative and relaxing experience as getting a massage at the spa!
Day 6
Nicoya Peninsula Free Day
Costa Rica is an amazing destination that offers a huge variety of tours and adventures, and Harmony Hotel is no exception! Try out horseback riding along the beach, soar above the canopy on a zipline tour or try out sea kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. Visitors between August and September can even walk the beach with a guide at night to spot the massive sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs!
Day 7
Transfer to Tamarindo, Guanacaste
Today, drive about 1 1/2 hours to the Capitan Suizo Hotel. This beachfront boutique hotel is routinely considered one of Costa Rica's best. The nearby town of Tamarindo is a burgeoning hotspot for seaside escapes - featuring a variety of bars, restuarants, shops, and more. Tamarindo Bay is ideal for any kind of water activities, thanks to the tranquil current.
Day 8
Guanacaste Free Day
Nature-lovers will adore the abundance of verdant gardens around the Capitan Suizo Hotel! Using 100% organic fertilizers to ensure the safety to visiting creatures, the use of native trees and ornamental plants makes the garden a familiar stomping ground for anteaters, iguanas, armadillos, monkeys, and more! Guests don't even need to leave the hotel to find some of the area's stunning wildlife.
Day 9
Guanacaste Free Day
Capitan Suizo offers a variety of activities for travelers. Guests can rent boogie boards, kayaks, and surfboards. The beach directly in front of Capitan Suizo is perfect for beginning surfers. There are also a variety of excursions in the area, ranging from canopy zipline tours to scuba diving at the renowned Catalina Islands - the clear water makes this a great spot!
Day 10
Depart Liberia, Costa Rica
This afternoon drive approximately 1 hour to the Liberia International Airport. Upon arrival, return your 4 x 4 vehicle before your return flight home
