This tour embraces the "off-the-beaten path" concept, taking you to three waterfalls, each featuring a refreshing swimming hole, with one boasting a natural 20-foot water slide. Weather permitting, you'll also have the chance to visit one of the finest local beaches, characterized by its cave-lined shores and swaying palm trees. Overnight Gaia Hotel & Reserve.
Day 3
Ocean Kayak & Snorkeling Tour
Start your ocean journey from the vicinity of Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, taking in the picturesque Manuel Antonio coastline. While paddling, your knowledgeable guide will share insights into the captivating marine wonders you encounter. Venture to prime snorkeling locations, where a volcanic rock formation hosts a diverse array of fish, crabs, and other coastal marine life in the enchanting Biezans Bay. Your adventure culminates with a delightful, traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local eatery by the beach. Overnight Gaia Hotel & Reserve.
Day 4
Local Flavors Cooking Class
Embark on an enjoyable and educational culinary adventure. Discover the origins of organic ingredients, cooking techniques, and the art of recreating recipes in your own kitchen. Start your journey at the local farmers' market in Quepos, where you'll peruse the stalls and select fresh ingredients with the guide's assistance, tailored to your menu. Upon arriving in the charming town of Londres, at a private ranch and dining venue, a warm welcome awaits. You'll take a guided tour through the organic garden to handpick ingredients that contribute to the flavors, colors, and textures of your meal. Engage in the kitchen and partake in the process of crafting handmade corn tortillas, preparing exotic "ceviches" with plantain or banana, cooking rice the traditional way, simmering chicken in a hearty tomato sauce, crafting "picadillos" by blending minced meats, vegetables, and spices, and much more. Let your creativity run wild as you consider recreating these dishes at home with seasonal ingredients. There's also leisure time for you to explore the ranch and take a refreshing dip in the Naranjo River, weather permitting. Overnight Gaia Hotel & Reserve
