DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrive Hotel Grano de Oro, San Jose
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and transferred to Hotel Grano de Oro for overnight. This quiet, deluxe hotel is located in Costa Rica's busy capital city but has managed to escape all the hustle and bustle. Don't miss the hotel's restaurant for an unforgettable gastro experience.
Day 2
Transfer to Copa de Arbol Lodge - Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula
This morning, meet your driver for a transfer to San Jose airport, where you'll board a short flight to Drake Bay, located on the remote Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, your driver will take you on a 20-minute transfer to the main beach in Drake Bay. From there, you'll board a small boat for a quick ride to your eco-resort. Please wear shoes that are easy to remove or can get wet, as you will disembark into knee-deep water on Copa de Arbol’s beach. Next, take a brief boat transfer to Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort for your stay. This luxury eco-resort offers a remote rainforest paradise with gourmet dining, a 3-tiered swimming pool, and a beautiful waterfront perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. The Drake Trail also runs through the property, providing access to hikes along the stunning rainforest coastline and secluded beaches of Drake Bay.
Day 3
Corcovado National Park Tour
Today, a professional naturalist guide will bring you to Corcovado National Park, a park protecting 100,000 acres of rainforest and many endangered species. It has been named "one of the most biologically intense places on earth," by National Geographic. Overnight Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort.
Day 4
Cano Island Tour
Today, visit Cano Island Biological Reserve, once a refuge for pirates and said to be a Pre-Columbian cemetery. A variety of white-tip sharks, bull sharks, humpback whales, manta rays, and other marine life can be found around the island. Overnight Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort.
Day 5
Transfer to Lapa Rios Ecolodge - Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula
Today, take a short boat transfer back to the main beach in Drake Bay (as with your arrival, please wear shoes that are easy to remove). Once there, you'll meet your driver for a roughly 3-hour ground transfer to Puerto Jimenez, located on the opposite side of the Osa Peninsula. *Please note: This transfer takes you along a remote route with a mix of paved and gravel roads, and travel times may vary depending on weather, road conditions, or construction. Arrive at Lapa Rios Eco Lodge, a luxurious wilderness resort set within a private 1,000-acre nature reserve, home to some of the last lowland tropical forests. Perched on a cliff with breathtaking views, the lodge experience includes stair climbing and light hiking, so please inform us if you have any physical limitations. The rest of the day is yours to explore the rainforest trails or relax by the pool.
Day 6
Puerto Jimenez Free Day
Take advantage of all the awesome tours that are included in your stay including the Early and Sunset Birds Tour, Wild Waterfall, Local Medicine Tour, Rainforest Ridge Walk, Osa Trail, Matapalo Tour and Night Walk. Overnight Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge.
Day 7
Puerto Jimenez Free Day
Take a walk down to the beach or lounge by the pool. Add Osa Peninsula Tours. Overnight Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge.
Day 8
Transfer to Playa Cativo Lodge - Golfo Dulce, Osa Peninsula
This morning, ground transfer about 30 minutes before your boat transfer to Playa Cativo Lodge on the Golfo Dulce. Backing up to Piedras Blancas National Park, Playa Cativo is surrounded by some of the most remote and unspoiled rainforests in the world.

This evening, discover how the rainforest comes to life at night! Many animals become active at night; particularly reptiles, amphibians, night mammals, and birds. A guide will share how the natural world lives during the first two hours of darkness!
Day 9
Esquinas Mangrove Boat Tour
Just a few short beaches away from Playa Cativo, discover one of the largest and most pristine river systems in Costa Rica. This diverse terrain allows for some of the best birdwatching in the area, particularly at sunrise and sunset when the mudflats are exposed and become a feeding ground for aquatic birds. Our boat tows your kayak to the mouth of the river where you can take off on a peaceful excursion and cruise down the river enjoying amazing mangrove and rainforest scenery. Overnight Playa Cativo Lodge.
Day 10
Osa Free Day
Free day to relax and explore, or book more tours as you like! Overnight Playa Cativo Lodge.
Day 11
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
This morning, boat and ground transfer to the Drake Bay airstrip for the short flight back to San Jose where you will connect to your return international flight home.
