DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrive San Jose, Costa Rica
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and transferred to Hotel Grano de Oro for overnight. This quiet, deluxe hotel is located in Costa Rica's busy capital city, but has managed to escape all the hustle and bustle. Don't miss the hotel's restaurant for an unforgettable gastro experience.
Day 2
Transfer to Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula
This morning you will take a short, scenic flight to Drake Bay on the remote Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, boat and ground transfer to Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort for overnight. Don't forget to wear your water shoes! You will arrive at the lodge by boat, exiting into knee deep water.
Day 3
Drake Bay Free Day
A variety of tours can be arranged from the lodge. Don't miss the world-famous Corcovado National Park, a park protecting 100,000 acres of rainforest and many endangered species. It has been named "one of the most biologically intense places on earth," by National Geographic. Overnight Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort.
Day 4
Drake Bay Free Day
Hang by the beach or book a snorkeling tour of Cano Island Biological Reserve, once a refuge for pirates and said to be a Pre-Columbian cemetery. Today, a variety of white-tip sharks, bull sharks, humpback whales, manta rays, and other marine life can be found around the island. Overnight Copa de Arbol Beach and Rainforest Resort.
Day 5
Transfer to Puerto Jimenez, Osa Peninsula
This morning transfer to the local airport for the short flight to Puerto Jimenez on the other side of the Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge for overnight. When you arrive, be sure to check out the weekly tour schedule and book your favorites.
Day 6
Puerto Jimenez Free Day
Take advantage of all the awesome tours that are included in your stay including the Early and Sunset Birds Tour, Wild Waterfall, Local Medicine Tour, Rainforest Ridge Walk, Osa Trail, Matapalo Tour and Night Walk. Overnight Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge.
Day 7
Puerto Jimenez Free Day
Take a walk down to the beach or lounge by the pool. Add Osa Peninsula Tours. Overnight Lapa Rios Rainforest Lodge.
Day 8
Transfer to Gulfo Dulce, Osa Peninsula
This morning ground and boat transfer to Playa Cativo Lodge on the Gulfo Dulce. Backing up to Piedras Blancas National Park, Playa Cativo is surrounded by some of the most remote and unspoiled rainforests in the world.
Day 9
Gulfo Dulce Free Day
A variety of complimentary activities are available from the lodge. Go on a self-guided hike, go stand up paddle boarding or kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, and more. Overnight Playa Cativo Lodge.
Day 10
Gulfo Dulce Free Day
Take advantage of your last vacation day by the water. Relax in the lounge chairs or take a walk by the beach. Finally, unwind with a cocktail at sunset. Overnight Playa Cativo Lodge.
Day 11
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
This morning take a short flight back to San Jose where you will connect to your return flight home.

Pricing is valid through the date listed for each itinerary (all pricing is subject to change until booked and confirmed). Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Years, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.

All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
