DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrive El SIlencio Lodge, Bajos del Toro
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica transfer by ground approximately 1 1/2 hours to El Silencio Lodge & Spa in the cloud forest for overnight. Set in the high elevation forest, El Silencio rests in banks of clouds. Explore 500 private acres of carbon-offsetting tropical cloud forest in the central volcanic region of Costa Rica, surrounded by meandering creeks and hidden waterfalls.
Day 2
Del Toro Waterfall Hike
Del Toro Waterfall is a natural masterpiece just 15 minutes away from your hotel. Discover a staggering 400-foot waterfall set within a multi-colored canyon where red clay blends with green moss and dense vegetation. A winding trail down approximately 400 steps will lead you to the base of the waterfall. Overnight El Silencio Lodge & Spa.
Day 3
Horseback Riding Adventure
Appreciate the idyllic landscapes of the cloud forest on horseback. A relaxed pace allows riders to take in mountain vistas, Poas Volcano's sloped, cyan tinted streams, and waterfalls. Traverse local farms and hidden trails and possibly cross paths with some locals! overnight El Silencio Lodge & Spa.
Day 4
Bajos del Toro Free Day
Go on a relaxing hike on one of El Silencio's nature trails or warm up in your private outdoor Jacuzzi. In the afternoon, book a wellness treatment at Escenia Spa. Overnight El Silencio.
Day 5
Transfer to Rancho Pacifico Hotel, Uvita
Today you will be met and driven to San Jose airport for a short domestic flight to Quepos. Upon arrival in Quepos, you will be met and driven approximately 45 minutes to Rancho Pacifico Hotel in Uvita on the South Pacific Coast. Rancho Pacifico is a sprawling adults-only eco-hotel overlooking Ballena Marine National Park and surrounded by 250 acres of private rainforest preserve.
Day 6
Uvita Free Day
Enjoy delicious tropical cuisine, indulge at the treetop spa, and lounge by the pool. Overnight Rancho Pacifico.
Day 7
Uvita Free Day
Explore pristine nearby beaches including Marina Ballena National Park or hike the on-site trials. Overnight Rancho Pacifico.
Day 8
Uvita Free Day
Add on days tours in the area at an additional cost. Overnight Rancho Pacifico.
Day 9
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
Today transfer by ground approximately 3 1/2 hours to the San Jose international airport for your afternoon return flight home.
