Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Hotel Arenal Manoa, Arenal Volcano
Upon your morning or early afternoon arrival in San Jose, meet your driver for a ground transfer of approximately 3 hours to the Arenal Volcano region. Check-in at Hotel Arenal Manoa, the perfect base for your Arenal adventure. The hotel offers stunning views of the Arenal Volcano, along with a spacious pool and on-site restaurant. Take leisurely walks through the expansive gardens, or explore the hotel’s on-site farm, reflecting the area’s agricultural heritage. The hotel concierge is available to assist with restaurant reservations, taxi services, and tour bookings.
Day 2
Pure Trek Canyoning Waterfall Rappelling
Embark on a thrilling trek through lush forest trails leading to some of Costa Rica’s most breathtaking waterfalls. Delve deep into the canyon using specialized techniques and mountaineering equipment. After a safety briefing, gear up for a short hike to the first waterfall, where your descent begins. Experience the adrenaline rush of five rappels—four along cascading waterfalls and one down a dry rock face—ranging from 20 to 50 meters. Each rappel promises an unforgettable adventure! Day 3
Rio Balsa Whitewater Rafting Class II-III
The Balsa River offers an exciting blend of Class II and III rapids, making it ideal for both novice and experienced paddlers. The first half features continuous Class III rapids interspersed with calm pools, while the second half transitions to gentler rapids, perfect for wildlife viewing. Day 4
Transfer to The Gilded Iguana Surf Hotel, Nosara
Today, take a 4-hour ground transfer to Nosara on the stunning Nicoya Peninsula. Arrive at The Gilded Iguana Surf Hotel, Nosara’s original surfer haven since 1988. This iconic spot attracts surfers, yoga enthusiasts, and adventure travelers alike, offering direct access to Playa Guiones, the region’s most renowned beach. Guests come for the world-class surf breaks, known for their consistency, and stay to enjoy the relaxing yoga retreats and thrilling mountain biking adventures.
Day 5
Surf Lessons
Head to Playa Guiones and ride the waves that have made this area a premier surfing destination. Beginners can learn the fundamentals of paddling, popping up, and catching waves, while more experienced surfers can refine their skills with advanced techniques.
Day 6
Free Day Nosara

Day 7
Transfer to Suitree Experience Hotel, Sardinal
Today, meet your driver for a 2-hour ground transfer to Sardinal. Arrive at the Suitree Experience Hotel for your overnight stay. Depart Liberia, Costa Rica
This morning you will transfer by ground approximately 45 minutes to the international airport in Liberia for your departure.
Pricing is valid through the date listed for each itinerary (all pricing is subject to change until booked and confirmed). Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.
All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example, a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
