Transfer by domestic flight to Manatus Hotel, Tortuguero

This morning, meet your driver for transfer to the airport in San Jose. Check in for a short flight (about 25 minutes) to Tortuguero on the Northern Caribbean Coast. This area is a popular turtle nesting site July – October.

Arrive at Manatus Hotel. One of the most comfortable jungle lodges in Tortuguero, Manatus is located directly on the river at the edge of the Tortuguero National Park. Early this morning, tour the canals by boat with local guides to observe the flora and fauna of the area. Your afternoon is free to book activities with your guide (at an additional cost). Choose from a great selection of tours and activities like fishing, kayaking, bird watching, and more. Transfer by boat and ground to Hotel Aguas Claras, Puerto Viejo

This morning, enjoy breakfast at the lodge and then transfer back by about 1 hour to the dock in Pavona. Here, meet your driver for transfer by ground about 2.5 hours to the Puerto Viejo area on the Southern Caribbean Coast – a mix of unspoiled beaches, coastal rainforest, and local flavor.

Cahuita National Park Snorkeling and Rainforest Hike

Cahuita National Park has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fishes and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or stingray. This beach has a horseshoe shape, with the entrance of the park at one end and beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end. Your adventure starts with a scenic 20-minute boat ride for two snorkeling sessions. After snorkeling, you’ll boat to the beach to enjoy fruit and snacks, followed by a 1 hour guided hike in this wonderful coastal forest: monkeys, sloths, birds, poison dart frogs, iguanas and other interesting encounters are common. Fly to San Jose for Departure

Early this morning, meet your driver for transfer by ground about 1 hour to the local airport in Limon. Check in for a short flight to San Jose. Upon arrival, meet your driver for transfer to the international terminal for your departure.
