Dec 20

Transfer to Hotel Arenal Manoa, Arenal Volcano

Upon your morning or afternoon arrival into San Jose, meet your driver for a transfer by ground approximately 3 hours to the Arenal Volcano area. Although the volcano is currently in a resting phase, the region offers exciting opportunities. Arrive at Hotel Arenal Manoa, a perfect base for exploring Arenal, offering stunning volcano views, a spacious pool, and an on-site restaurant. Guests can also stroll through the beautiful gardens or visit the on-site farm, which reflects the area’s agricultural heritage. The hotel concierge is available to assist with restaurant reservations, taxi services, and tours.

Arenal Hanging Bridges & La Fortuna Waterfall Hike

Explore the Arenal Hanging Bridges, a 2-mile trail featuring 16 stunning bridges, including 6 suspended ones up to 180 feet high. With a guide, discover the rainforest’s wildlife at every level, from the forest floor to the treetops, all set against the Arenal Volcano. Then, visit La Fortuna Waterfall, where you can view the 70-foot cascade, then descend 530 steps to swim in the refreshing waters. Enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch before heading back to Hotel Arenal Manoa for the night.

Rio Balsa Whitewater Rafting

The Balsa River offers exciting Class II and III rapids, suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers. The first half of the river features continuous Class III rapids with small pools, while the second half offers calmer waters, perfect for wildlife spotting. The catamaran anchors in a calm bay for swimming and snorkeling, followed by a light meal prepared by the crew. End the cruise with a gorgeous Pacific sunset. Depart Liberia International Airport

This morning you will transfer by ground approximately 1 hour to the international airport in Liberia for your departure.

Pricing is valid through the date listed for each itinerary (all pricing is subject to change until booked and confirmed). Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Year’s, Presidents’ Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.
