Arenal Hanging Bridges Nature Hike

Along with a naturalist guide, embark on a moderately-paced tour of this impressive private reserve, with almost 250 hectares of tropical secondary rainforest, is home to incredible biodiversity. The network of trails is connected by several hanging bridges that allow you bridges to walk right into the forest canopy. As you traverse the reserve, your guide will assist you in spotting tropical birds, endemic small mammals, monkeys, intriguing reptiles, and more. The hike consists of 8 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges designed for both beauty and safety. If you’re feeling especially active, don’t miss the waterfall trail extension loop toward the end of the hike!

Safari Float on the Peñas Blancas River

Explore nature and wildlife of the Peñas Blancas River on a gentle downstream float on the Peñas Blancas River (family-friendly / no rapids). Your naturalist guide will do the rowing while you relax and observe the treetops and riverbanks search of monkeys, sloths, birds, reptiles, and other local species. Toward the end of the trip, enjoy a bit of local flavor with a traditional Costa Rican snack.
