Half Day Soberanía National Park and Discovery Center

The Soberanía National Park stretches from Limon to Lago Gatun. It’s about a 45-minute drive from Panama City, which makes it an easy place to day trip to from the capital.

The park has good hiking trails and tons of wildlife. It protects some 525 species of birds, 105 species of mammals, 80 species of reptiles, and 55 species of amphibians. Bird species include toucans, trogons, motmots, flycatchers, woodpeckers, hawks, and tanagers. This morning you will transfer 30 minutes to the domestic airport in Panama City for a short and scenic flight to David. Transfer by ground approximately 3 ½ hours through the Talamanca Mountain range to Punta Robalo, near Bocas del Toro off the Caribbean coast. Upon arrival you will transfer by boat to Tranquilo Bay Eco Adventure Lodge. This owner-operated lodge is tucked into the rainforest on a secluded island. Transfer by boat and ground to the domestic airport in Bocas del Toro for a 1 hour flight to Panama City.
