Canopy Tower
Once an old radar tower, the Canopy Tower now serves as an eco-lodge after its conversion in Soberanía National Park, near Panama City. It sits above the rainforest canopy, offering views of the surrounding jungle, the Panama Canal, and parts of the city. The tower is known for its access to wildlife, particularly birds, which can often be seen from the upper levels. It’s a popular spot for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts due to its location in a biodiverse area of Panama.
Amenities

This retreat offers a range of basic but comfortable amenities designed to support nature-focused travel. Guests stay in simple rooms with large windows that look out into the surrounding forest. The lodge serves meals in a communal dining area, usually with fresh local ingredients. There’s also a library with natural history books, a small gift shop, and a main observation deck at the top of the tower, which is the central gathering spot for wildlife viewing. Guided tours and excursions into the nearby rainforest and national park are available daily, led by experienced naturalists.
