Day 1
Arrive Bajos del Toro, Costa Rica
Upon arrival in Sa Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and driven approximately 1 1/2 hours to El Silencio Lodge and Spa for overnight. Situated in the high-elevation cloud forest, El Silencio is a eco-friendly sanctuary focused on wellness and soft adventure. Explore the 500 private acres surrounding the lodge with gently flowing creeks and hidden waterfalls.
Day 2
Bajos del Toro Waterfall
Hike to El Silencio's most famous waterfall, Bajos del Toro Waterfall. Bajos del Toro makes a 400-foot drop into a multi-colored canyon with shades of red clay and brilliant green moss. Just 15 minutes from the lodge, the waterfall is accessible via a winding trail that brings you right up to the roaring mist. Note that the hike up from the base of the waterfall is approximately 400 steps. Overnight El Silencio Lodge and Spa.
Day 3
Los Bajos Cultural Tour
The thriving rural community of Los Bajos del Toro Amarillo has rich traditions, unique flora, and unsurpassed landscapes. On this tour, visit local orchid enthusiast, Don Martin Porras. His collection of over 400 orchids includes shoe-shaped specimens and Lilliputian beauties. Then, discover the local school, soccer field, and church as your guide describes some of the customs and history of the town. Your last stop will be at Dona Olga's Pulperia where you can make your own tortillas and buy local pastries. Overnight El Silencio Lodge and Spa.
Day 4
Transfer to Isla Chiquita, Nicoya Peninsula
Today you will be met and driven approximately 2 hours to Puntarenas. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by private yacht to the Isla Chiquita property on the Gulf of Nicoya off the Nicoya Peninsula. Isla Chiquita offers a unique glamping experience on an island in a luxurious setting. The resort does not have A/C or a swimming pool but instead relies on freezy ocean air and seawater to cool off and connect with the scenery.
Day 5
Beach Hopping
Board an open boat and beach hop your way through the Gulf of Nicoya. Swim, snorkel, relax, and enjoy the sun and sand on this care free beach hopping day! Overnight Isla Chiquita.
Day 6
Transfer to Rancho Pacifico Hotel, South Pacific Coast
Today you be brought back to Puntarenas on a private yacht. From there, you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to Uvita in the South Pacific region for overnight at Rancho Pacifico Hotel. This adults-only intimate eco hotel has suite sand treehouses that feel like a sprawling tropical estate. The hotel sits high on the forested mountainside overlooking Ballena Marine National Park and is surrounded by 250 acres of reserve.
Day 7
South Pacific Free Day
Enjoy the day exploring nearby beaches, relaxing by the pool, or planning day excursions for an additional cost. Overnight Rancho Pacifico Hotel.
Day 8
Corcovado National Park Hike
Depart from Punta Uvita at 7:00 am this morning for a scenic 90-minute drive along the Pacific Coast to San Pedrillo Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park. Upon arrival, prepare for two guided nature hikes where you can observe the flora and fauna of this remote rainforest. Each hike is around 2 hours long. On the hikes, discover howler, spider, and white-faced monkeys, coatis, sloths, tapirs, raccoons, and a multitude of plants, trees, and bird species - many in danger of extinction! After the first hike, rest and restore with a picnic lunch near the ranger station before departing on the second hike. Don't miss the marine life like dolphins, birds, and turtles as you boat along the coast to and from Corcovado. Overnight Rancho Pacifico Hotel.
Day 9
Transfer to Arenas del Mar Beach Resort, Manuel Antonio
Today you will be met and driven approximately 1 hour to the Manuel Antonio / Quepos area on the Central Pacific Coast. Arrive at Arenas del Mar Beach & Nature Resort, a spectacular luxury property overlooking Manuel Antonio National Park and set within 11 acres of forest and private nature trails with access to two beautiful sandy beaches.
Day 10
Private Manuel Antonio National Park Hike
Discover Costa Rica's favorite little national park, Manuel Antonio. The park has three of the country's most beautiful white sand beaches, dense rainforest trails, and an abundance of wildlife. A professional naturalist guide will lead the way pointing out the vegetation and explaining the history of the park. Look for some of the 109-known species of mammals and 184-known bird species of birds that inhabit the park. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit to cool off on the park's picturesque beaches. Day 11
Manuel Antonio Free Day
Relax and discover the sandy beaches at Arenas del Mar, book a spa treatment, or add-on tours in the Manuel Antonio area. Overnight Arenas del Mar Beach & Nature Resort.
Day 12
Depart San Jose, Costa Rica
Today you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to San Jose International Airport for your return flight home.

Pricing is valid through the date listed for each itinerary (all pricing is subject to change until booked and confirmed). Holiday season supplements apply for Christmas, New Years, Presidents Day, and Easter travel dates. Green season specials and/or lower rates may apply for May to November travel dates.

All itineraries are land only and international airfare is quoted separately. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary depending on your international flight schedule. For example a late arrival will usually require a night near the airport in San Jose.
