Upon your morning or afternoon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to Arenal Volcano. Although the volcano is currently in a resting phase, the Arenal/La Fortuna region offers plenty of adventure.

This morning you will transfer from Arenal to Monteverde by Boat. First, you will transfer by ground to the boat launch at the Arenal Dam. Here you will board a comfortable pontoon boat for a 45-minute ride to the dock at Rio Chiquito. Upon arrival passengers will ground transfer approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. During the rainy season, this transfer may take longer.

This afternoon, embark on the TreeTram Cableway and Zip-line adventure in Monteverde. Begin by ascending to a stunning 5,700 feet above sea level for panoramic views of the cloud forest. Then, soar through the treetops on an exhilarating zip-line experience, spanning 7 ziplines ranging from 460 to 2,460 feet in length for a total of 1.9 miles. Today you will be met and driven for approximately 3.5 hours to the W Resort Costa Rica at Reserva Conchal. Situated between beaches and mangroves, W Costa Rica brings a fresh spin to Costa Rican adventure. Check into one of the 151 locally designed rooms and suites and stop by the surf-culture-inspired MIX Bar and local beer for snacks and drinks.

In the afternoon, embark on a luxury catamaran from the Flamingo Marina. Sail about 5 miles to explore secluded beaches and prime snorkeling spots. Keep an eye out for sea turtles, dolphins, whales (in season), and vibrant marine life like pufferfish. Anchor in a calm bay for snorkeling while the onboard chef prepares a delicious buffet.
