Peace Lodge is located in the Cloud Forest of Costa Rica just an hour from San Jose International Airport on the grounds of the private nature reserve, the La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
La Paz Waterfall Gardens
The on-site La Paz Waterfall Gardens contain waterfalls, lush gardens, an aviary, a butterfly observatory, numerous wildlife exhibits, and hummingbird feeders all connected by a unique trail system. Guests of Peace Lodge are invited to enjoy the park before it opens and after it closes (the optimal bird and wildlife viewing times) to the general public. Additional activities from the lodge include exploring Poas Volcano, Doka Coffee Plantation, river-rafting, a boat cruise on the Sarapiqui, horseback tours, and the Center for Neotropical Studies.
Peace Lodge Amenities
A warmly lit reception area is your point of entry to the Peace Lodge and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. As the staff checks you in and carefully points out details on the property map, you can’t help but notice that they are professional but casual at the same time.
Rooms are adorned with rich woods and stone, with fireplaces that give everything a cozy, cabin ambiance. Many guests opt to wake early and watch the sunrise against the misty, mountainous landscape right from their balconies. Enjoy breakfast in the restaurant that overlooks the sprawling reserve, and take a dip in the expansive pool.
Tip: Choosing a Deluxe room or Villa will amp up your experience with spectacular views!
