Then, stay at a remote rainforest eco-lodge to tour Corcovado National Park and discover the underwater UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cano Island. Finally, visit Costa Rica’s adventure capital, Arenal Volcano, where you will raft, rappel, and zipline through the rainforest!
Transfer to San Jose, Costa Rica
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica transfer by ground approximately 20 minutes to Hotel Presidente for overnight. This 92-room boutique hotel in downtown San Jose is situated on the corner of Central Avenue Pedestrian Boulevard and Seventh Street. This fantastic location has a variety of cultural landmarks nearby amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. For an afternoon repose, escape to the hotel's green rooftop and enjoy the city views.
Transfer to Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula
Today, you will be driven to the domestic airport in San Jose for a short flight to Drake Bay on the Osa Peninsula. You will be met at the Drake Bay Airport and driven to Aguila de Osa Inn for overnight. Aguila de Osa is secluded eco-lodge overlooking the rainforest and the Pacific Ocean with breezy rooms. This evening, enjoy happy hour and a delicious family-style meal in the restaurant.
Full Day Corcovado National Park Hike
This morning, take a boat tour to the entrance of Corcovado National Park, a 100,000-acre ecological jewel protecting many of Costa Rica's endangered species. Discover the virgin tropical rainforest with a naturalist guide looking for monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, butterflies, and more. Enjoy a refreshing swim in a natural waterfall before returning to the lodge. Overnight Aguila de Osa Inn.
Canopy Island Biological Reserve Snorkeling Tour
Cano Island is one of the most popular scuba and snorkel destinations in Costa Rica for swimming among big fish like bull sharks and white tip sharks. Humpback whales can also be seen between December and April and manta rays can be seen from February to June. Overnight Aguila de Osa Inn.
Transfer to Arenal / La Fortuna
Today, you will take a return flight to San Jose, where you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to Arenal Volcano. Arrive at Hotel Arenal Manoa, a comfortable moderate hotel featuring panoramic views from each junior suite terrace.
Balsa River Rafting Class II-III
The Balsa River offers a range of class II and III rapids for first-time and experienced paddlers. There are continuous class III rapids with small pools between them for the first half. In the second half, the rapids spread out and become less intense, a great opportunity to look for riverside wildlife! Overnight Arenal Manoa Hotel.
Pure Trek Canyoning
Hike into the forest to get to rainforest waterfalls. You will have a brief safety talk before gearing up to embark on your adventures. A short trek will bring you to the first waterfall, where you will begin descending the waterfall canyon. There are 5 rappels in total, 4 of which have waterfalls, with heights ranging between 20 and 50 meters. Overnight Arenal Manoa Hotel.
Sky Aerial Tram & Trek Zipline
Your adventure begins on the aerial tram, in which you will ride through the forest canopy of the Tilaran Mountain Range. The tram will bring you to an observation platform where you can take pictures of Lake Arenal, Arenal Volcano, and the surrounding forest before your thrilling zipline adventure begins. The zipline tour consists of 8 cross-sectional ziplines 4.5 miles in lengths with distances ranging between 100 and 2460 feet and a maximum height of 660 feet. This morning, you will be driven approximately 3 hours to the San Jose International Airport for your return flight home.
