DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1
Dec 26: Transfer to Rio Perdido Thermal River, Guanacaste
Upon arrival in Liberia, Costa Rica transfer approximately 1 hour to Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River. Rio Perdido Hotel is located on a 600 acre private reserve with Rio Perdido Thermal River at its center. The magma beneath the earth's surface pushes minerals into the river and the thermal pools sprinkled throughout the property.
Day 2
Dec 27: Canyon Adventure
Rio Blanco Canyon is your destination for adventure! The canyon has 15 platforms - 6 rock-based and 9 suspended on canyon walls, a 50 foot Tarzan swing, a pendulum cable, 4 via ferrates, a 90-foot challenge bridge, 5 zip lines, and a water station in the middle of the circuit. Day 3
Dec 28: Rio Perdido Free Day
Explore the thermal pools, Thermal River, and over 10 miles of hiking trails in the forest surrounding the property. Overnight Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River.
Day 4
Dec 29: Transfer to Tamarindo Beach, Guanacaste
Today transfer by ground to Tamarindo Beach in the Guanacaste province for overnight at Tamarindo Beach Resort. This boutique hotel is one of the only hotels directly on Tamarindo Beach. Enjoy direct beach access and the lush gardens surrounding the hotel.
Day 5
Dec 30: Free Morning; Evening Sunset Cruise
Enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, the tour begins from Flamingo Marina. The crew will set sail (depending on the wind) for about five miles to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Arrive at your snorkeling destination where a guide will point out sea turtles, dolphins, whales, pufferfish, and more. While you're exploring the area, your guide will cook up a delicious buffet meal. Catch a beautiful sunset before returning to Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort for overnight.
Day 6
Dec 31: Safari Float Corobici River
Float for two hours along the Corobici River on a raft. Discover the tropical dry forest ecosystem with the help of a naturalist guide. Look for fig trees, enormous kapoks, monkeys, iguanas, birds, and crocodiles. Enjoy the tranquil nature of the river and bit of adventure as you pass through some light rapids. Day 7
Jan 1: Tamarindo Free Day
Take a surf lesson or relax on the white sand beaches of Tamarindo. Add on additional Guanacaste Day Tours. Overnight Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.
Day 8
Jan 2: Depart Liberia, Costa Rica
Today transfer by ground approximately 1 hour to the Liberia International Airport for your return flight home.
