DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1
Dec 26: Transfer to Rio Perdido Thermal River, Guanacaste
Upon arrival in Liberia, Costa Rica you will be met and driven approximately 1 hour to Bagaces for overnight at Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River. The hotel is located with a 600-acre private reserve surrounding Rio Perdido Thermal River at the base of Miravalles Volcano. The magma from the volcano pushes up minerals into the river and pools throughout the property for the ultimate relaxation surrounded by nature.
Day 2
Dec 27: Canyon Adventure
Rio Blanco Canyon is the central point for adventure at Rio Perdido. There are 15 platforms - 9 suspended on canyon walls and 6 rock-based, a 50 foot Tarzan swing, 4 via ferrates, a 90 ft challenge bridge, a pendulum cable, 5 zip lines, and water station in the middle of the circuit. Day 3
Dec 28: Rio Perdido Free Day
Add on additional activities such as mountain biking, a tour of Palo Verde National Park, or a trip to Llanos de Cortes Waterfall. Overnight Rio Perdido Hotel & Thermal River.
Day 4
Dec 29: Transfer to Papagayo Peninsula
This morning transfer approximately 1 1/2 hours to the exclusive Papagayo Peninsula on the Northern Pacific Coast for overnight at the new Andaz Resort. The Andaz has created a stress-free, yet luxurious environment featuring 2 beaches, 2 infinity pools, and a variety of authentic dining experiences.
Day 5
Dec 30: BA Divers Snorkel Tour
After a welcome and safety briefing, head out on a boat ride to your first snorkeling site to discover the marine life of the Northern Pacific Coast. If the conditions are good, you can stop off at two different points where you can jump in and observe the underwater landscape between volcanic rocks. Look for schools of fish, stingrays (December to February), and eels. Overnight Andaz Resort.
Day 6
Dec 31: Papagayo Free Day
Head to the beach! The Andaz has two beaches for two moods. The Water Sports Beach is where the fun is at. Take advantage of complimentary beach toys like kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling gear. Enjoy lunch and cocktails before crossing over to the Relaxation Beach for an afternoon nap. Overnight Andaz Resort.
Day 7
Jan 1: Papagayo Free Day
If you brought the kids, make sure they check out the Cambi Kids Club for storytelling, games, and more. This is the perfect opportunity for some Onda Spa R&R. Schedule a massage in an outdoor treatment room and rejuvenate with the sounds of nature. Overnight Andaz Resort.
Day 9
Jan 3: Depart Liberia, Costa Rica
Today transfer by ground approximately 45 minutes to Liberia International Airport for your return flight home.
