Our 8-night Costa Rica Honeymoon Highlights vacation package highlights will bring you to some of Costa Rica’s most unique destinations: the cloud forest, a volcano, and a beach rainforest!

DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1
Arrive at Tabacon Thermal Resort, Arenal Volcano / La Fortuna
Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to Tabacon Grand Spa & Thermal Resort in the Arenal / La Fortuna area. Although the volcano is currently in a resting phase, the region offers an abundance of exciting activities!

Tabacon features natural hot springs fed by Arenal Volcano. The rich mineral waters flow right through expansive tropical gardens, creating cascades and rock pools throughout the property.
Day 2
Safari Float & la Fortuna Waterfall Hike
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest as you paddle along the Penas Blancas River. Sloths, monkeys, reptiles, and tropical birds can be seen all along the river. After your morning float, discover La Fortuna Waterfall. The 70-meter high cascade can be seen upclose at the bottom of paved steps about 300 meters down. Enjoy a quick swim and take in the beauty of the falls before returning to Tabacon Grand Spa & Thermal Resort for overnight.
Day 3
Afternoon Sloth Tour
The smiling sloth has become an iconic symbol of Costa Rica! Let's find one. Costa Rica is home to two sloth species: the two-toed sloth (nocturnal) and the three-toed sloth (diurnal). Your guide will bring you to the best wildlife viewing locations in the area. Also, be on the lookout for tropical birds, iguanas, monkeys, toucans, and the blue-jean dart frog - to name a few! Overnight Tabacon Grand Spa & Thermal Resort.
Day 4
Lake Arenal Boat Transfer to Cloud Forest Lodge, Monteverde
This morning, transfer from Arenal to Monteverde by boat. First, ground transfer to the boat launch at Arenal Dam. There, board a comfortable pontoon boat for a 45-minute boat ride to the dock at Rio Chiquito. On arrival, ground transfer 1 1/2 - 2 hours to Monteverde Cloud Forest. This transfer may take longer in rainy season. Monteverde Cloud Forest is a high-elevation forest of dense vegetation - great for hiking and wildlife observation, especially birdwatching.

Arrive at Cloud Forest Lodge, an ideal combination of nature and access to the best of Monteverde. The lodge is situated in the Bellbird Biological Corridor - between Monteverde Reserve and Santa Elena Reserve.
Day 5
Aerial Tram, Trek Zipline, & Walk
The Sky Tram is a high-tech cableway designed to showcase the cloud forest's spectacular views. The tour begins with a ride on the cableway with a guide where you will get a fantastic view of the forest. It ends at a platform from which the zipline adventure begins. This is one of the most extensive canopy tours in Costa Rica with two long cables and eleven cross-sectional zip lines. Then, head out on foot to explore the 6 suspension bridges. Enjoy lunch and then return to the Cloud Forest Lodge for overnight.
Day 6
Transfer to Hotel Parador, Manuel Antonio / Quepos
Today, you will be met and driven approximately 4 1/2 hours to Hotel Parador in the Manuel Antonio / Quepos region. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most beloved little national parks in the country. Teeming with wildlife, the destination features rainforest-lined beaches and incredible coastal views.

Arrive at Hotel Parador, a resort located high up on a rainforest peninsula with 360-degree views of the coastline. The hotel is elegantly styled with Mediterranean architecture modeled after the traditional Spanish Paradores and European boutique hotels - a unique find!
Day 7
Manuel Antonio National Park Hike
Today, explore Costa Rica's celebrated Manuel Antonio National Park. Rich in biodiversity, the Manuel Antonio rainforest is home to over 109 mammal species and over 184 bird species. A naturalist guide will lead you along the main trail of the park pointing out the features and wildlife that make this little national park so unique. You will undoubtedly see monkeys, but be on the lookout for some of the shyer animals of the park such as sloths and coatimundis. Don't forget to wear a swimsuit under your hiking gear to cool off on the white-sand beach of Manuel Antonio! Overnight Hotel Parador.
Day 8
Free Day Manuel Antonio
Enjoy your last day in Costa Rica by the beach or poolside! Day tours can also be added on if desired. Overnight Hotel Parador.
Day 9
Depart from San Jose, Costa Rica
Today, you will be met and driven approximately 3 hours to the San Jose international airport for your return flight home.
