Natural Spa Indulgence

Day 1:  Upon arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica, you will transfer to the Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn in Heredia for overnight. This is an intimate hotel set above the Central Valley surrounded by coffee plantations with excellent views of the volcanoes and city. Each suite is unique and features fine local woods and pieces from the owners’ extensive modern art collection. The Inn is renowned for its fine cuisine, prepared with bounty from its own fruit orchards and organic vegetable and herb garden. Unwind by the hillside swimming pool for stunning views morning, afternoon and evening.

Day 2:   Free day to explore the area or plan day a day excursion.  Guests can enjoy many day tours, including a fascinating tour of Costa Rica’s best coffee producers, hiking into the Braulio Carrillo National Park Cloud Forest, exploring the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and experiencing the splendor of the Poás and Irazú volcanoes.  Our own stables and horses can also be rented to experience Costa Rican country life, including riding to the slopes of Barva Volcano.  Overnight Finca Rosa Country Inn. 

Day 3:   This morning, you will transfer to the domestic airport in San Jose for the short scenic flight to the Arenal Volcano, known for its frequent eruptions, dramatic lava flows and incandescent rock explosions. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the Tabacón Grand Spa & Thermal Resortfor overnight. Now a member of leading hotel and spas of the world!  The hotel is part of the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort located across the street. The resort offers many pools heated by the thermal waters of the volcano, spa facilities, gourmet restaurant, and great views of the volcano on a clear night. In the evening observe the “fireworks” of vapor and lava.

Day 4 – 5:   Free days to schedule spa treatments at the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort soak in the hot springs or plan day trips. Guided tours available at additional cost include hiking in Arenal National Park, Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, Arenal Hanging Bridges, canopy tour, mountain biking and horseback riding to waterfalls, rafting, waterfall rappelling, and caving. Nearby Lake Arenal offers fishing, boat tours and wind surfing. Overnight Tabacón Grand Spa & Thermal Resort.

Day 6:   This morning, you will transfer to the domestic airport in Arenal for the short flight (with a stop in San Jose) to Nosara on the Pacific Coast.  Upon arrival, you will transfer to the Harmony Hotel for overnight (located on Playa Guiones).  Inspired by the old school tropical destinations of eras that appreciated relaxed glamour and total escape, the harmony is the perfect setting for people to get in tune with their natural rhythm.  This eco-friendly lodge is just steps away from the beach and one of the best surfing breaks in Costa Rica.  All rooms feature king size beds but the bungalows are larger with a vanity area and wicker seating furniture.  The restaurant features all natural foods specializing in vegetarian and fresh juices.  There are also a variety of restaurants nearby. 

Day 7 – 9:   Free days to relax.  Enjoy the beach, pool, spa services, yoga classes and surf lessons.  Nearby there are several local restaurant choices and the village of Nosara.  Optional guided tours are available at additional cost including guided hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, sport fishing, sailing charters, canopy zip-line tour, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles Nesting tour (Ostional Wildlife Refuge), Barra Honda national Park and Caves, Las Baulas Marine Park and more are available upon arrival.  Overnight at Harmony Hotel.

Day 10:   This morning, you will meet with a bilingual guide and transfer by ground approximately 3 hours to the international airport in Liberia for your afternoon departure.
